Course Description

This presentation will detail implementation of the Life Model in personal application and therapeutic practice.  Life Model is a neurotheology curriculum and developmental model that explains the complex processes of wholeness, maturation, recovery, and identity in the human experience. Neurotheology is a relatively new field of study bringing together ancient, Biblical teachings combined with the most current findings in neuroscience (Life Model Works, n.d.b). Life Model is culturally inclusive as it speaks to the development of the human regardless of ethnic, socioeconomic, or gender differences. This model is considered a lifespan guide leading those who study and employ the concepts to a life that is more fully enjoyed, connected, and purposeful. The exciting prospect of the Life Model is how its principles are applied in the clinical setting to help clients overcome their challenges and live a healthy life. Life Model also serves as a guide for helping therapists live a mature lifestyle with fulfilled experience (Friesen et al., 2022).
